One of the burdens dems carry is a perception that they are "soft." They need to counter that and I agree that a filibuster on general principal would be a good move ... they need to stop worrying about possibly pissing people off and start actually pissing people off.

Harry Reid's shutdown of the senate is the perfect example of what they need to do, but one isolated incident isn't enough, they have to fight continuously.
