Yes you do. When you agree to have your interests represented by an individual or group of individuals, then you bind yourself to agreements entered into on your behalf.

If you are not lawful, then this entire discussion is irrelevant. How can you agree that your interests are represented by xyz and then say that you repudiate the law (being your word)??

If you violate contracts (written or oral), then those whom you have violated and harmed will have legal remedy.
