Take for instance my own state of Texas where the legislature fell all over itself to ban gays from forming some sort of union I'm not suggesting that there aren't bigots out there. But that train has long since left the station where dark-skinned people were not welcome in restaurants. Except for a few die-hards, the bigots have accepted, died out, or moved on. Remember that the context of this is the property rights of business establishment owners. Gay marriage is outside that framework. I doubt the state of Texas has any designs on excluding gays from restaurants.
