We use to build 100% of the televisions in the world and now today I would imagine the figures are almost reversed yet the United States is still here. Our country continues to get richer. We've got an immigration problem remember? All of these illegal aliens stealing jobs yet we're below 5% unemployment. I don't see Americans moving to China. The only thing that makes the US poorer is the feel good socialists who are too damn lazy to work in a capitalist society. Why work when you can vote for someone to give it to you? Gimme gimme gimme....that's is bankrupting us. Costs of free healthcare now and in the future far outweigh any social security or energy problem we'll face financially. Oil is still bought and sold using US dollars. That's only one reason I know I live in the greatest nation on earth.
