"Jail and force are both moral consequences of the failure to pay taxes. If one believes a law is unfair, one may seek remedies within the law"

First of all, I introduced "force" on my end with the above comment. Your direct response to that post was the introduction of "deadly force". This (yours) was the first mention of it.

"Because it based on COERCION BY THREAT OF USE OF DEADLY FORCE! That's why!".

Furthermore, when Tim entered this discussion it was directly to the issue of DEADLY FORCE--which I have continued to discuss with him.

"Any program dependent on taxation is kept in place through at least indirect or implied threats of deadly force."

So it is entirely wrong to say that I introduced "deadly force". YOU introduced it and TIM chose to escalate it as you call it.

"Secondly, you have now finally admitted that gov't ultimately relies on the threat of the use of that force"

Secondly, my responses to your introduction of "deadly force" was to make it CRYSTAL CLEAR that OF COURSE Governments use force:

"I am trying to make a distinction between governments which use force to legitimately further civilized and moral values, versus governments which use force to promote criminal activity. I am trying to point out that "force" is a neutral concept, and may be moralized only in circumstance and context"

AGAIN

"Surely we have no disagreement on the obvious fact that Governments enFORCE the Constitutional Agreement and legislation that flows therefrom"

Even BEFORE you introduced "deadly force", I had clearly stated that "Jail and force are both moral consequences of the failure to pay taxes. If one believes a law is unfair, one may seek remedies within the law"

We have had NO DISAGREEMENT on the obvious point that all people use force including people in Government. My point was that deadly force was illegal beyond very limited and specific circumstances. All people (including those working on behalf of Government) may use deadly force--but not carte blanche.

Now, if we have no diagreement on this last point, then we have no disagreement on what I have discussed for a score or so of posts.
