"The point is simply that the threat of deadly force is behind enforcement of law."

Then your point is without merit. Various levels of force are indeed behind enforcement of laws. That is nothing to dispute or even to discuss. But deadly force is not a part of any enforcement, nor is it threatened as enforcement or punishment. Deadly force is simply killing that is justified in self defense or in defense of others. Deadly force will only be used against you or I as self defense or defense of another. It will never be used as enforcement or punishment.

Leaving aside the rights of private individuals to use deadly force in self defense, the policy statement of the department of justice regarding the use of deadly force by an officer makes it clear that it may not be used as enforcement or as punishment but ONLY "when the officer has a reasonable belief that the subject of such force poses an imminent danger of death or serious physical injury to the officer or to another person." Execution (which is a legal punishment in some States) has nothing to do with the concept of deadly force.

Basically, you seem to believe that the right of others to self defense is somehow a sort of "threat" being held over your head if you decide to go berserk. That idea is truly ridiculous. The only time deadly force may be used against you is in self defense, or to prevent you from killing another person. So if income tax evasion is your thing--go for it!
