Well I guess we have found the core of our disagreement. Usually a good thing. We disagree on other aspects as well but they are peripheral to the issue.

I believe that people have a right to dispose of their assets as they see fit to when they die. To the extent they are anyone's before the actual inheritance takes place they are still the dead person's assets.
