It might take month or a couple of years but the situation could go from bad to very much worse. If Hamas assembles a significant army as they are talking about... just imagine Israels reaction, and the counter reaction by the rest of the ME powers, and the counter counter reaction by the US... There is a check on that ambition.........EU and US aid. If it gets cut off, Hamas will be hard pressed to raise an army given that such things cost a lot of money.
