Buddy, I still know what was needed to build the country, which entailed deficits, which did pay for themselves. A war will always cause a temporary deficit too, but evey now and then, the need for war comes along. I am, however, getting tired of us being the police force for the rest of the world. There was a time that I was a staunch isolationist, and still have some of that tendency, but when someone attacks us, we need to go blow his head off without any qualms about it. To hell with treating the enemy kindly, both active and in prison. When they try to kill any of us, we should just kill any, and all, of them. But fighting a war for the benefit of another country is stupid, IMO. If the tribes, or sects, of the muslims want to fight each other, we should let them kill each other so there are fewer of them to pollute the planet. I'm not saying that from a religious attitude, but a political one. Anywhere there is fighting between factions of the same nation, we should pull our people out of there, and let them fight it out themselves. Having trials for terrorists that attack, or plan to attack, this country is stupid. Just catch them, and kill them, without mercy. That is what they would do to us, so turnabout is fair play. As far as fiscal prudence goes, I think that all of the welfare programs that are being abused by those that know how to cheat the system, should be stopped immediately. And foreign aid going to a nation that is not in our corner, should be stopped immediately. Some money should be spent to investigate, and prosecute, the Medicare fraud that is rampant, and the saving will be far more than the expense. Get rid of bilingual school teaching. If anybody wants to live here, make them learn American English. The only reason I don't mention social security, is because that is supposed to be money that was taken from the paychecks of workers for decades, and they deserve to get it back when they need it. That should not allow multi millionaires to collect social security though. They don't need any help. The only thing I can say about social conservative, is that I hate communism, socialism, and any other system that would work against free trade, and individual advancement through their own efforts. IOW, government has no business to mess with business.
