Hi Esteban,

Yes, Kerio resolved my slow start-up issue. The alert issue is nothing more than deciding what programs you want to give, or deny, internet access. Once I loaded all my programs that use the internet, and either gave than access or denied access, Kerio stopped asking permission. This is much like ZA.

I think the problem with ZA is the many changes they have made. It just ended up slowing down my computer. Using Kerio my computer boots once all the normal start-up programs have loaded.

So far, I like Kerio so much that I am planning on purchasing the program. At this time it's on sale for $14.95, and the annual renewal rate is $9.95. If I wish, I can use the free version. To use the free version all you have to do is let the 30 day trial period expire. At that time, a number of the features are disable. This leaves you with the basic firewall. Very similar to what ZA does.

I plan on evaluating Kerio for a few weeks. At that time, I'll make my final decision as to purchasing the firewall.
