I never understood sporterizing military rifles for hunting. An unmodified 8mm mauser rifle will take down very large game without modification. Not only that, the original rifle isn't particularly heavier than a sporterized version.

Correctamundo, good buddy. 03A3. My oldest friend has one, and his father too, both beautifully sporterized.

I will have to stick to my pre-64 Model 70.
