If you are talking Alzheimer's....what slays me is that it doesn't matter how intelligent you are. A friend's mom was diagnosed recently with Alzheimer's. She is in her 70s. In her late 50s, she learned Chinese and Russian....two very difficult languages. Now on her bad days, she cries because she wants to go home to her parents' house......they have been dead for over a decade.

That disease scares the bejezus out of me. I remember seeing RR at the office bldg where I worked in the early 90s before he got really bad. He had already become a shadow of what he had once been.
