Suma, did David Brock provide documents to prove his allegations? Pieces of paper that were not changed by PhotoShop or other such ways? Exactly what types of documents did he offer as proof? IF the charges can be proven with documents that can be proven to be actual documents, he could get CBS or Dan Rather to take over....

Brock makes allegations. Other people deny them. Even if many of his allegations are true, that would reflect mostly on David Brock's earlier statements and perhaps also the American Spectator's credibility. To go from that to the assertion that all conservative publications and think tanks lie routinely and that anything they can be dismissed out of hand, is a large unsupported leap. It also invites people on the other side of the debate to operate the same way. Than you get both sides ignoring what the other side has to say and you get two monologues being shouted past each other rather than a dialogue. To me these revelations preclude me from ever trusting the AS and what it publishes.. That's fine but the American Spectator was not one of my sources. The main one was the Heritage Foundation, and than after that links to other conservative, liberal, and libertarian groups or publications where provided.
