Kerri doesn't want to take weapons away from Islamic wackos, only honest Americans

as,

re:So you admit Kerry doesn't want to take away weapons even the kind used in Columbine? This proves the NRA is not concerned about facts, only rightwing politics, because the organization is run by longtime rightwing extremists. The NRA will not support any candidate who's a moderate or liberal, even if the candidate is a life-long hunter and war hero with a weapons collection of his own, like Kerry. Instead, the NRA will support a non gun-owner who panders to the arms industry and extreme right, like GW Bush.

No you miss the point - the hunting rifle to the assault rifle can all be used to kill. Banning one makes no sense, especially in light of the fact assault weapons generally cost more than most criminals can afford and they're less powerful than your average deer rifle.

Kerry and his co-sponsors would push for more and more gun control all the while doing nothing to actually stop criminal use - simply erroding our rights.

The problem is you don't know anything about guns and keep making laws that affect law abiding individuals and do not effect the criminals you claim to be targeting.

For example I have 35 handguns in my safe, yet I'm still subject to a waiting period (sometimes called a cooling off) - rather funny since if I wanted to use a handgun, I'd just open the safe. The law makes sense for the first handgun, after that it's sort of silly. The NICS check is a good piece of law as it checks my eligibility to buy a gun and should be done everytime, since my status to buy one could have changed over time. The NRA supports background checks as reasonable legislation.
