Yet Lincoln suspended Habeas Corpus during the Civil War, citing the threat...Should Lincoln have been impeached?

I actually was thinking about Lincoln's suspending Habeas Corpus when I wrote, " We, as a nation, have historically faced down major threats to our existence; the WW II Axis, our own Civil War, war for independence, etc., without losing our respect for the rule of law, for the most part." (Qualifier in bold)

Feel free to exhume Mr. Lincoln and exonerate his corpse in an impeachment hearing, if that will help you make your moot point.

And by the way, I do believe that war was declared by Congress in that dust-up, as required by the Constitution, and not simply unilaterally decided by the Chief Executive and his speech writers.
