I think the problem is that some of us don't take the Iraqi "enemy" too seriously- at least the enemy as it was before Mr. Bush's police action, because there wasn't much evidence there was anything to take seriously- and in retrospect, it looks like there were much more serious threats we should have taken seriously. I think it is probable Nadine confuses the annoyance of some on the left with the stupidity of the Iraqi adventure, with a failure to take Al Qaeda (and other groups like it) seriously. These are not the same issues, but from the posts I am receiving from Nadine, the two things are hopelessly conflated.
