I find it hard to believe that all the people on SI have logically decided to be illogical so they can be pawns of some faction of the right. I think its the only way they can feel good about defending the policies of this Administration. ( I think it is +/- 35% of the population, BTW.) Torture, secret prisons, rendition, spying without warrants, arresting people for wearing T-shirts, making folks sign pledges of loyalty before they are admitted to public functions... What country are we talking about here? And how many contortions must one go through to arrive at a state of mind where such things can be made defendable?
