I think that US incomes will, on average, fall below incomes in large parts of the rest of the world, and unemployment will rise.

I believe you are speaking on a relative declining % basis or something like that. Is that correct?

US wages certainly are not going to drop below wages in China, or India or Brazil or any place like that.

Good summary about how the "classes" will fall out. Although I don't see average incomes falling below large parts of the world. You think average income will be less than china or india? doutful.

EDIT: Just the billions and billions of bonuses paid to Wall street to the shills there will pull up the average.

My you certainly have an active imagination....!

How would you define "Middle Class" in terms of material possessions.....relative to todays MC...?

An American MC technician might be making $65K year US...

An Indian MC technician might be making $18K year US...

how can they possibly compete....?

American cities will revisit the sort of "burn it to the ground" violence of the 1960s. Poor people will be encouraged to join the military to fight an endless series of "wars" aimed at shoring up our declining place in the world. For many, this will be their only escape from poverty and crime. These "wars" will largely be "discretionary" and tied to securing resources and markets for an increasingly troubled domestic economy. Our debts will exceed our ability to repay and we will try to use force and fear to get the rest of the world to fall in line. The world will unite against us.

do you see anything positive in our future...?

regards

"The middle class will compete globally on the basis of their education and business abilities. American cities will revisit the sort of "burn it to the ground" violence of the 1960s".

You might be right. Just in time to have this housing boom and converting affordable housing to high end squeezes out the working poor in many American cities. Gonna be ugly and most of the powers at be are clueless going instead for pumping up the tax base and lining their pockets with green..

All the jews asked was that we not FORGET what led to ww2 and lots of innocent folks dying.

I imagine many people said the following quote before ww1 and ww2.
