Terrorism is still low on the list of threats to Americans. Many more people die in traffic fatalities. A trillion dollars devoted to transportation studies would save far more innocent American lives than another war (and countless foriegn lives). A sober comparison like that always seems to make some think that I suggest doing nothing about terror. That is hardly true, but I still think that in a rational priority list it would be down from the top. TP
