You have to control the means of production and dole out equally. I think you are hyjacking the discussion down a different path. I should not have used the terminology as presented in your post but kept with my term of equality of opportunity. This would eliminate income disparity as an institution, but there will always individual outcomes as differnt people have different skills, desires, and luck. It's really the perpetuation of disparity, especially across generations, that causes the serious social problems. TP
