From experience again. Ignorance begets ignorance. Poverty begets poverty. No matter how well intended I might be in trying to elevate children from those two conditions... which I did... there are those who refuse.. The rational for me. What we have is better than what we don't know... Example two.. It might be nicer to get out of an apartment in Flatbush Brooklyn where the cacophony of the traffic in the street below is horrendous and the siren sound all the time. Wouldn't it be nicer to be in the suburbs where it is quiet and there are spaces ? No.. We are used to the noise and without it wouldn't seem natural. These are over simplifications of problems in our society but having worked with them it takes a great deal of effort,positive reinforcement and inspiring to have some one more off his or her spot. Wayne Dyer used to say to me. What can we say about the well adjusted slave. ?
