He says:

"Then, when you're done, the oil is very heavy and "sour" -- unlike the sweet, light crude oil of West Texas and Saudi Arabia -- so it is hard to transport by pipeline, and even then it can really only be used for diesel. And the plants are subject to a lot of hardships, such as the lack of skilled labor, the breakdown of the heavy machinery and a worldwide shortage of the sort of super-sized tires used by the mining "

I am getting tired of instant "experts" who don't know anything about what they are writing about. Syncrude can be made into anything that any other crude oil is made into, and in fact it's a premium product that sells for more than WTI.

Scary attitude and no class!

I find him pretty offensive. Didn't bother to read page two and I'm a conservative!

Guys like him need to realize that there are too many people up here that will be spooked or offended by that kind of talk. They won't find it very funny even if it is only meant to be sarcastic.

Guys like him could do serious damage, if they aren't more careful and that article was picked up by the mainstream media in Canada or by some guy like Jack Layton. This guy's an idiot and I won't be paying much attention to what he has to say in future.

I guess he didn't hear that our new Conservative leader Steven Harper politely told the US ambassador to screw off when he (US ambassador) disapproved of Harper's plan to have armed military icebreakers patrol our northern waters... :O) Yes the namby pambys are gone LOL...

>>>But the fact that every Canadian does not live like a sheikh is testament to the plain reality that it's really hard to turn the stuff into useful energy<<<

Yes I heard that three years ago and three hundred thousand dollars ago.

Listen up and Learn. Canadian Conservatives are way to the left of US Democrats.
