I'm doing a drop ceiling in the kitchen and wound up one 2x4 tile short. Lowes had packs of 10 @ 69.95 of them and don't sell them one at a time but I remembered they had a package with one damaged corner on each panel. Now because they will be partially over the cabinets I could use one and get buy, two would be easier cutting and 3 would be stiff enough not to snap in the 30 mph wind going to my Jeep. Went to the sales girl, then through the asst. manager and finally to the manager. Manager says they don't sell them except in cartons and this one was marked down to $5. I tell him fine, I'll buy the carton, now write me a ticket for $5, take out three for me, I'm giving the other 7 back to you to toss in the garbage. I get my 3, you get the full price for the carton, the damaged goods are off your inventory, capisch? He thought that was a good idea.
