In one way, I hope the press and the Democrats keep hyping the situation....They don't seem to realize it is hurting them....Especially when they read the CNN report (who knows if it is true) but it says the man who was hit had gone to retrieve a bird, and came up behind Cheney....

They were hunting quail after all...russle in the bushes might mean there was a covey of quail....

"they don't know this will backfire."

This could be the title of a book that would chronicle the collapse of the greatest non-violent force for social movement and change in the history of the world.

I am not sure when the disintegration started but you can pretty much look at the hype and the pomp of the left wing over the last couple of decades, and shake your head over the bungling and poor judgement, and the lack of a solid and principled platform for their constituency. The free thinking innovation that led to liberal change, from the late fifties to the mid seventies, has been replaced with lock step worship of a narrow and restrictive left wing doctrine, and litmus tests.

The ranting and dissembling (Exemplified by Kennedy in the recent hearings and Gore in Saudi Arabia) attracts attention in the short term but repulses sensible people over time.
