Maybe I am confused then as to what qualifies as reasonable skewering. It seems to me that skewering Cheney (and I posted a humor column on him yesterday) based on known facts is one thing, and if one is clear when things are opinion, one certainly does deserve respect. But a very partisan column headed WAS CHENEY DRUNK, which proceeds to discount the sheriff's report and imply he probably was, is another imo. If there are no holds barred in what can be posted, then I will be glad to accept that definition and shut up.

My views will include a lot of skewering politicians in both parties, because I think the vast majority of them are self-serving lying bastards, much of which can be proved by comparing their rhetoric and actions to observable facts.

Total agreement here.

The fact that most of my skewers are aimed at the GOP, is simply because they hold all the reins of power.

About the only barb I can direct at the Dems is their pathetic lack of spine in abdicating their role as the opposition party, and that line gets old quickly.

I hope I also give proper credit due in the rare instance that a pol on either side actually displays integrity and principle over partisanship.

I remain convinced that the GOP and Dems are part of the same cabal and that the real struggle is We The People reminding them that they work for us.
