I don't know about adding a $2 tax to gasoline. That would cut down on unnecessary driving probably, but it would also give the government more money to spend instead of returning it to the people like Bush did.

It's probably a good thing that neither you nor I have anything to do about US Foreign Policy. It's exceedingly complex, and no matter what you do their are undesirable or unintended consequences.

Like you, I'm anti failure. I just think supporting current policy is the way to do it, and you don't.

Bush has coped with unprecedented challenges that were imposed on him by events that were way outside his control. We are just damn lucky we don't have Gore or Kerry in the Oval Office. They would have been catastrophic.
