There's no reason to think a resigning judge any more credible.

As I recall, two judges resigned. And it wasn't for health reasons, nor for spending time with the family. No one has denied they resigned for policy reasons. Clearly, differences with the Bush administration over the way they handled the FISA process.

And clearly Comry (sp) refused to sign warrantless permission and forced that trip to Ashcroft's bedside.

All I'm saying is that there were folk, at the center of the FISA debate, that found the Bush approach unacceptable.

So, we do know something about the insides.
