Looks like it might be bright and sunny here today, but cold; it's about 20 degrees at the moment.

Worked last night, worked the day before,
Gonna get drunk tonight like I never got drunk B4;
Cuz when I'm drunk, I'm happy as can be,
Cuz I am a member of the Souse fambily.
Now the Souse fambily
Is the best fambily
To ever come over from old Germany.
There's the highland Dutch and the Lowland Dutch,
The Rotterdam Dutch, and the Irish.
Sing glorious, victorious,
One keg of beer for the four of us....
Sing "Glory Be to God" there are no more of us,
Cuz one of us could drink it all alone,
damn near.

rose~

we had a gorgeous day - bright, sunny
not a cloud in the sky.

feels like april.

feels more like january here.

it has turned pretty nasty
all of a sudden.
i just came in from repairing our mailbox
and am glad to be done.

had rain and then freezing rain
that covered everything with ice last night.

today, the rain turned to ice pellets
but is now turning to snow
and blasting by from the west,
absolutely parallel with the ground
with gusts from 50 to 70 kph...

temperature is supposed to drop
to around -2F by tonight.

i will be verrrry surprised
if some areas don't lose power today
with this wind on top of the ice from yesterday.
i'm just watching a couple of the trees
in my backyard being bent so far that
i figure they're gonna snap if this keeps up.

got the mailbox fixed though!
this one seems to be a survivor.
i think it has lasted through 3 winters,
but it's really on its last legs.
i will probably retire it in a few weeks....
if it lasts that long.
