>>>A so-called "blended" or "fully loaded" churn metric is totally, absolutely, meaningless for its intended purpose, i.e., measuring the rate at which customers leave the service; these people were never "customers" in that sense.

Did XM count them as customers?.......Yep

Did they deactivate?.........Yep

Are they customers anymore?.....Nope

Wouldn't a smart investor want to know this?.......Yep

I can understand why you don't care.

he argument that XM's disclosure is inadequate is wrong. And it is totally consistent with the way other industries report promotional subscribers

What other industry are you talking about? Do you have an example?

The reason that no other indsutry has "Promotional Subscribers" is that it is a proven concept to lose more money that you can ever hope to make.

Still waiting for an answer to this one.. You claim with authority that it is totally consistent with the way other industries report promotional subscribers.

Sounds very reassuring.. But, you haven't been able to back up your statements with even ONE other industry example?

Do you know what you are talking about? Or are you just making stuff up again because it sounds good?
