Oh.. you mean the same ones who had the same unsupportable notions about Asian, Latin, and Africans? That they are all somehow pre-destined to live in tyranny and that they are too "sub-human" to have thoughts of individuality and human rights to pursue a destiny of their own choice?

The problem is not that they don't deserve better, it is that they have to get there largely on there own. A better look at Asia would be to consider how both Taiwan and S. Korea finally became democracies. We could have forced it on them back in the 1960's, with poor results I think.

Same goes for how democracy has slowly come to Central America. You might recall that we actively assisted insurgents in that region which did not IMO help at all.

Even today, Asian democracy is different from American democracy, and so is the case in S. America. Measured by our metrics, one might find them deficient in one way or another, as is likely to be the case in Iraq. But they will never really take ownership if it is our democracy, not theirs.

<Abject failure will occur when we're lose our will to confront Jihadists and other associated Islamo-Fascists on their own turf.>

Hawk, despite the enormous interest and importance of "the cartoons", the USA media are too scared to publish them. They say they are being responsible, sensible, respectful... yeah right. They don't usually be responsible, sensible, respectful - they publish and be damned and sell a lot of media.

The cartoons are perfectly benign and are not a criticism of the prophet, peace be upon him and me and everyone else too. They are a criticism of the Islamic Jihad fundamentalist murderous thugs who apparently don't represent Islam if we believe plenty of Moslems. Some of the cartoons don't even depict Mohammed.

The moronic Moslems who are protesting haven't even seen the cartoons and if they did, they obviously don't understand them.

The USA is too scared to confront Islamic Jihad even on USA turf, despite the Twin Towers and 3000 people having been killed. It's very like appeasement as per Neville "Peace in our Time" Chamberlain.

Any Moslems threatening murder of cartoonists should be arrested and thrown in Guantanamo Bay as enemy combatants. Bounties should be offered for their capture, assassination or information leading to their capture.

The cartoons should be published everywhere so the problem can be properly considered. It's absurd that Moslems pretend to be offended. I think they just enjoy being rabid and violent and any excuse is a good one.
