No anti-war candidate has ever won the WH. Even during the worst of Vietnam in '72, Nixon won by 20%. And Nixon was not a very popular man. Centrists are the answer for dems, though they can be liberal in some ways, conservative in others. One of the problems is the unfair electoral college system which gives places like North Dakota more power than New York City.
