And what is the cost of living over there?

Here in BCS, $10 an hour is about the best you can get, even with an education, unless you are a football coach or something like that. Many jobs pay minimum wage or a bit more. But you can also buy a house for under $50k or find a room to rent for $250 including bills. In other parts of the country, that isn't true, so a cap of $10 an hour is a real hardship.
