As I read the article I was looking for a sentence that proved Bush had backed the sale. Originally, I thought Bush had awarded the contract directly to the UAE based company..........after finding out the British company was sold to a UAE based company I thought I might have "jumped the gun" and blamed the Bush admin prematurely..................your article proved I wasn't wrong:

"The Bush administration in recent days has defended its approval of the sale, and has resisted demands by Congress to reconsider. State Department spokesman Sean McCormack described the United Arab Emirates on Friday as a "long-standing friend and ally" and said the United States and UAE had a good relationship."

That's a quote from your article.
