Lets just open the borders, right? Let US corporations import unskilled workers from the Congo, engineers from China, financial analysts from Brazil. We're all world citizens; US citizens should just get used to the equivalent of the world's lowest pay scale.

The above is pretty much accomplished but the Brazilian, Congolese and Chinese person don't need to leave their country. Multi-nationals open offices in Brazil, China and the Congo (maybe not the Congo, where in the world did you get the Congo as a popular location for cheap labor??) and get the benefits of the lower costs. Americans are affected if they can't make the cost benefit case against the Chinese or Brazilians. That's the capitalist system, and it rewards the most efficient. I support that.
