A few words about holocaust denial.

I am a firm believer that the holocaust was a real horrendous atrocity.

I could not disagree more with holocaust deniers.

These folks would be more on target if they focused their talents not on holocaust denial, but on the Zionist use of the holocaust to blackmail people into silence re: Israel's record of brutal militarism, colonialism, mass murder, political assasinations, and aggression.

That said I am shocked by the trial and imprisonment of holocaust deniers. This is another ominous sign that our freedoms are fast eroding in the West -- and not just in George Bush's America.

No telling how far this can go, Will people next be placed on trial for criticizing Israel, Zionist media and financial power, or the "war on terror" ?

Which is also my position in that it's a political argument, and therefore perfectly legitimate, to criticise the policies of Israel but anti-religious, and therefore anti-Semitic, to criticise the Jewish religion.

You are speaking about things you are completely ignorant of. You are an admitted atheist and yet you presume to think you offer truthful insights on the topic of religion, and in particular Christianity, the only true religion which you are admittedly opposed to. It is not anti-semitic to criticize the Jewish religion! This is total nonsense. It is praiseworthy, loving, and truthful to criticize the wicked religion of the Jews.

I justify my argument as to the separation of "church" and "state" by reference to the very religious Jews who are totally against both Zionism and the State of Israel.

You speak of "very religious Jews". Just what makes one a "very religious Jew"? And what is pious and right about being a "very religious Jew"?
