"The Brits are long time allies, not enemies." Dubai is not an enemy. They are probably the most liberal of Arab states and a friend to the US. "As far as US companies, laws can be passed placing requirements on the checks they do on their people." You realize, of course, that companies operating in the US would be subject to such laws even if foreign owned. "And the CEO of a US company is much more likely to be within reach if something goes wrong." The CEO of a US company is much more likely to take the fifth if something goes wrong. "And the Brits will extradite." Extradite who? Would a terrorist who had infiltrated a British-owned port operator run off to merry ol' England after committing his crime?
