"Probably the most startling thing is that people are having to find the bodies of their dead relatives on their own.......often amidst the debris that has sat for six months in spite of all the huge contracts that have been let to clean it up."

I've been telling you what has been happening in Beaumont, which isn't much. There is even less activity in the smaller towns, which took the brunt of the damage. Trying to get a loan through FEMA is impossible, FEMA doesn't exist. If your insurance company blocks you, you are SOL. And there are stacks of debris all over town.
