I have no doubt we have inflation but I would never use commodity prices to prove it. We had continuous inflation the whole 20 years that commodity prices were falling. Eventually commodity prices will rise enough to attract capital investment and the resulting increases in supply will allow the real cost of commodities to continue their 2000 year decline. And we will still have monetary inflation.
