I took it as an analogy not a comparison.

Your first mistake is assuming intelligent people wish ill will on others. If you hadn't mentioned it I would never have associated the people of NO with animals.

The very idea is insulting to those people you defend, and I don't for a minute believe that is what was implied. I find it very sad and telling that you made that association.

It is much easier for me to believe that 99% of the people in this country have the power and capacity to overcome personal adversity than to believe they are helpless and needy. I understand the capabilities we all possess. If only liberals would stop telling some of us that we are helpless and needy and that the rest of us are out to get them in some devious and hateful way. Perhaps then we might see progress, but as far as I can see they prefer to disempower the most vulnerable. The sad part is they don't really give a rat's ass for those people.....that is an obvious truth. They are pawns in the serious game of who can accumulate the most funds on the pretext that those funds will actually help those they disempower........part of the big lie. They've been doing it for years and the jig is up. The tragedy in NO opened some eyes. Hopefully welfare as we know it will experience a thorough overhaul.
