Laz, rather than YOU getting bogged down on Ted Kennedy--who never held the high esteemed office of vice president--why don't you instead concentrate on something relevent.

The Cheney story is relevent--he's the VP, remember?

Here's a tip to help keep you in tune. Why don't you take the below, and post it on some of the 'rightwing' threads and ask the folks there why Bush and Cheney are 'giving away' America. Here's 'tis:

Foreign companies are buying up our water systems, our power generating systems, our mines, and our few remaining factories. All because "flat world" so-called "free trade" policies have turned us from a nation of wealthy producers into a nation of indebted consumers, leaving the world awash in dollars that are most easily used to buy off big chunks of America. As www.economyincrisis.com notes, US Government statistics indicate the following percentages of foreign ownership of American industry:

· Sound recording industries - 97%

"Nobody died at Duckgate."

Nothing happened at Duckgate, as far as we know, but a tragic accident effecting only the lives of those directly involved.

No immorality, no crimes, no sleazy conduct that resulted in coverups of the tragedy that ensued. Nothing to suggest any association with the role and conduct of Cheney as a political representative. There is, however, plenty of evidence that suggests these problems associated with the Kennedy case.

The two are far different circumstances so there is really no applicable comparison to be made. Interestingly the comparison comes to play not in the actual circumstances of the tragic hunting accident of Cheney but ironically the finger pointers have managed to describe the very horrific circumstances surrounding the Kennedy case, which in reality was even much worse than their speculative complaints about Cheney...far worse.

Many of those pointing the finger are not willing to come clean on the conduct of Kennedy; making this a glaring contradiction as a matter of conscience (which is exactly how the complaints have been couched). I note that Karen and Orca (although somewhat reluctantly and dismissively) have been willing to address Kennedy's character flaws (at least in this context).

You are most certainly right to continue pressing this point, as it is an glaringly obvious contradiction in the complaint.
