re: With absolutely no consideration for his own citizens.

that is a totally different subject.

re: How many Russians did he kill? Somewhere between 30 and 50 millions I believe the figure is

I think it was about 20 million. He is not responsible for Hitler's work that killed 22 million russians. Not that I particularly want to defend either one of them.

Still it is completely off the topic that you started

re: The brains missing because Stalin had blown those off all of his military command in the years up to WWII.

I was in a court once with speeding ticket and I started to talk to judge about Zukov, head of russians during WWII. He said that he was a hero and I said that he also ordered russian soldiers to attack germans with one rifle for every 3 man. He told me that as a Russian I should know that if not for that Europe would belong to Hitler now. He had a point....

re: Be proud

my uncle had all his war decoration taken away from him because, while wounded, he was captured by germans (he escaped before they discovered that he was a jew) He died before all his war medals were given back to him as to those who outlived Stalin. And regardless of what stalin did I am proud of my uncle. My other uncle received a gold star and I am proud of him as well.

The Russians were much more than cannon fodder. They fought the largest armored vehicle battle in history at Kursk, with over 5000 armored vehicles participating.

Many authorities consider the Russian T-34 the best all around tank of WW II, an entirely Russian design.
