I agree the hospital can't help with it (unless it has a pool of available men longing to marry women who've just delivered babies...

But seriously, children develop much better in two parent homes- so initiatives that makes sense which encourage two parent homes are fine by me (though I admit the hospital poster thing doesn't seem like something that is tailored to the problem.)

What a stupid and offensive suggestion.

It's easy enough to say here is why that wouldn't work and not attack or offend anyone, even if you found his suggestion offensive.

Eventually I might get the idea across to everyone here that this is not a bashing thread. One way or another.

You are wrong. A woman who has just given birth to a child CAN quickly decide to have her child raised in a two parent household. Its done all the time. Its called an adoption.
