And the same goes for bashing people up. Assault is assault. Put them in the jug whether the victim is gay, black, jewish or muslim or just plain WASP.

Why do you insist on singling out gays for preferential treatment? I prefer to treat ALL criminals the same....those that abuse children, straight or gay, should be locked up for a long long time.

I don't insist they be singled out for preferential treatment. I think that when heterosexual children go out to "bash queers" that they should be caught, and treated as if they had gone out to bash any other minority. There should be an actual effort on the part of the police. There was a case in Vancouver where a bunch of people beat a gay man to death with bats and golf clubs, they intentionally went out to kill someone, they got almost no time. I think that when someone jumps someone in a park and gives that person brain damage, that they shouldn't get out of jail before the person is out of hospital. And I think that if a Gay person is murdered he should be given the same investigation he would have gotten if he was a heterosexual. That doesn't happen.

Why is it you think that those simple things are special treatments? Why is it that as a society we accept that the police can't solve the murders of some people? Look at the recent murder of the prostitute in Niagara Falls, Now they think that maybe someone has been murdering hookers for 10 or so years in several places in Southern Ontario, why did it take 10 years to find out. Some peoples murders in Ontario matter less than other people's murders, but should we accept that idea?
