It's become obvious to me that you are truly another partisan hack trying to stir the issue. I think real security and a real War on Terrorism means we should have American firms running our ports OK mister concerned security minded American. Name me an American firm willing to do what you propose. Name me perhaps a major American port that fits this bill at this very moment. ignore the Constitution and 4th Ammendment and spy without warrants. BULLSHIT You know that, I know that and the lawyers who've examined this know it. Save that stupid shit for your local letter to the editor and such. The folks here are a little more in tune to what is really going on then your local knobs that get all their info from the local rag. get hit again because our ports are being run by people who may mean us harm. I defy you to show me a single credible example of how this weakens our security or how that statement is true. I give that same challenge to anyone else. Which American firm expressed an interest ing investing $8B to buy P&O and upgrade security to meet new DHS standards? So would the Singapore government be better? "it beats taking our chances with foreigners" Terry Nichols. "it seems as if port security should be taken ... serious" How would the change of management affect how the US Coast Guard dispatches their job?
