OK buddy I will back you up, and frankly I would agree with your proposals BUT you go about it in a Don Quixote type of way. Ya gotta learn to work within the framework of what we have. IMHO the Republican Party today is FAR MORE responsive to the needs of the Nation then at least the leaders of the Democratic party. I know, you likely hope for an independent party but that just aint gonna happen, at least not till there is a Revolution. Too often you fault every republican in sight rather then attempt to support them in what you believe.
I think President bush has done an EXCELLENT job in increasing the REVENUE of this country, the fault is in the expense side of the ledger. Yet, I believe you would attack the very things that made the Revenue grow tremendously rather then attack the spending of Congress. Many say why didnt he veto the bills. Well, in most cases those vetoes would tend to shut down the government and create Crisis. I think we have enough crisis on hand with Mother Nature, El Quieda and overseas adventures both initiated by us and by others (Iran and N. Kor. being the others as well as Palistinian problem). jdn
