Those kids will never forget you. They might forget other teachers, but they won't forget their music teacher. There was a line in a book I am reading- a mother who's son forgets his lines in a play and she says something to him like," It didn't matter. The sheer weight of your silent presence was enough to save the show." I kept thinking of that tonight while the kids fell apart. I did that when I was a kid (pre-teen). My mother called out the one line I had to me from the audience.

This reminds me of my kids' elementary program. It is so joyously bad. The fact that they have great teacher that can find good in it helps them enjoy it. You must be great with your kids.
