Happens all the time, both ways.

CBS Slants Poll In Favor Of Bush

34% is far too high a number. I can't believe 34% of the country actually approve of the job Bush has done. That's outrageous. What's there to approve of? He has not succeeded on a single issue and has us sliding downhill toward hell in a hand-basket.

CBS Slants Bush Poll in Favor of Democrats

Posted by Greg Sheffield on February 28, 2006 - 08:57.
In its classic "fair and balanced" tradition, CBS slanted in favor of Democrats its poll that found Bush has a 34 percent approval rating and a 59 percent disapproval rating, an all-time high for a CBS poll.

There may be a reason for doing the polls that way other than satisfying a bias. I noticed that the numbers of partisans will vary from time to time for different reasons.

Having said all that, I think 34% favor rate for Bush is too high. Either the 34% are crazy, or the poll is weighted to much in favor of Republicans.
