Oh, THIS I know. During and after rainstorms here, the line often is so bad and noisy it won't support even dialup.

They DID say they were going to do another line check. I suspect they found something, fixed it, and aren't about to admit to ANYTHING.

When we first got DSL, the max. distance to the switch had to be something like 5800 feet or less. I take it they've improved on that?
