Neo, I agree words should mean what they normally mean and I was not renormalizing "poorly". Read the next sentence which is the normal definition: <When I say "poorly", nearly everything we do is "poorly" in absolute terms, that is compared with perfection. Poorly in this case means compared with capitalist free market competition. >

"Poorly" of course is relative to something. Tiger Woods can do poorly and that's a reasonable use of the word. Nobody would misunderstand that to mean he does badly compared with the average golfer. Which is not to say I think welfare does as good a job as Tiger Woods, even on his off days.

So don't bother with your renormalization process. Just read it as normal. But do read for comprehension.

I think you are just playing with words. Anyway, my points are clear enough if you want to read them. You have your biases and you are welcome to them. It's like a religious discussion. It's impossible to convert a true believer in the Big Guy [in your case the government bosses].
