Considering the paltry amount that these sales are expected to raise to (allegedly) go towards schools and roads, the whole deal smells like a typical scam. I believe the total amount they expect to raise is probably even less than gets p*ssed away on the Iraq misadventure in a week.. perhaps even in a day or two. It would be interesting to know the names of those who will be the *beneficiaries* of these land dispersals. With these kinds of land deals, I expect there are already a bunch of "connected" slimeballs waiting to receive their choice acreage for a song so that they can toss up a housing development or build a weekend getaway McMansion. Hurray hurray... that's just how things work in 21st century America!!
